Rosalynn and I are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Dr. David Hamburg. An emeritus member of the Carter Center’s Board of Trustees, he was a wise and visionary counselor for our work to improve the lives of the world’s poorest people. He was a man who dedicated his great heart and mind to understanding the roots of injustice and violence so that we might prevent them. We extend our deepest condolences to his son, Eric, and his daughter, Margaret.
