Rosalynn Carter Discusses Carter Center, White House Years In PBS Interview

Former First Lady Rosalynn Carter will be the featured guest on Scully: The World Show, hosted by Robert Scully, airing on PBS affiliates nationwide during May (air date/time varies, check local listings).

Continuing The World Show's "Ladies of the (White) House" series, Mr. Scully travels to Atlanta to meet with Mrs. Carter. Their discussion ranges from her first meeting with Jimmy Carter to her role as first lady when her husband eventually became president. The conversation also covers issues the Carters faced when they left the White House, Mrs. Carter's passion for promoting mental health awareness, and the extraordinary work the Carter Center is currently doing around the world.

Now in its eighth season on public television, Scully: The World Show is a half-hour series devoted to one-on-one interviews with the world's most significant and famous personalities. Nobel laureates, heads of state, royalty, authors, financiers, athletes, designers, diplomats and philanthropists have all been featured since the series began in Canada in 1983. The series has been seen in more than 60 countries and is distributed by Connecticut Public Television.

Note for Atlanta area viewers: Scully: The World Show featuring Mrs. Carter will air Sunday, May 1 at 2 p.m. ET on PBA30 (Public Broadcasting Atlanta).
